Day Skipper Practical
Separate sail and motor listings for students looking for entry-level skipper places, including tidal or non-tidal courses.
RYA practical pathway
Yachting Labs focuses on public, practical RYA course places where a school has remaining capacity and can confirm the booking directly with the student.
RYA certification
We focus only on RYA because it is widely recognized and gives students a clear progression from crew skills to skipper qualifications.
Marketplace focus
The marketplace is intentionally narrow at the start: it is a lead-and-hold system for selected practical course seats, not a full booking engine.

Separate sail and motor listings for students ready to build command confidence, passage planning, and more advanced practical skills.
Yachtmaster Coastal and Offshore filters can exist now, but regular supply is expected later because many Yachtmaster courses run in winter, usually November to March.
How students use it
A signed-in student can browse live seats, filter by course type, country, start date, tidal area, price range, and school, then request one seat. The listing goes on hold for 24 hours and the school is emailed with the student copied.
The booking is not confirmed until the school replies. Payment is arranged directly between the student and the RYA training centre.
How schools use it
Schools register, wait for platform approval, create live last-minute seat listings, and manage their own listing statuses. A school can mark a held seat sold, release it back to live, or cancel the listing.
Course type, school, marina address, country, dates, tidal badge, public price, last-minute price, discount, available seats, cabin type, and request action.
Public rules
Only live listings are requestable. On-hold, sold, cancelled, or hidden listings are not bookable from the public course selection page.
